The Arkansas Psychologically Healthy Work Place Awards Program is sponsored by state, provincial and territorial psychological associations and supported by the American Psychological Association. They recognize organizations that make a commitment to workplace well-being and creating a healthy workplace for employees. The award program highlights a variety of workplaces, large and small, profit and non-profit, from diverse geographical settings.

Applicants are evaluated on their efforts in the following five areas:

• Employee Involvement
• Work-Life Balance
• Employee Growth and Development
• Health and Safety
• Employee Recognition

State-level Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards Program winners are eligible to be nominated for the National Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award and the Best Practices Honors. Following a competitive evaluation and judging process, the top candidates are selected for national recognition by the American Psychological Association.
